Why do people have so much luggage for a short holiday?

Those people afraid that they may missed something from home or they are not familiar with the places that they are going to. They thought that they are going to a third world country and there is nothing there and they have to bring everything that is important to them from home.They brought the home size toiletries instead of the travel sizes. Too many clothes and probably hardly wear half of them.
